She’s given up her maternity leave to promote her already critically acclaimed new movie The Favourite.

And Rachel Weisz had a busy day on Friday as she dashed around her home city of New York on the promo trail.

The British actress, 48, who welcomed her baby girl three months ago, wowed in two chic dresses as she arrived at CBS studios before heading to The SAG-AFRA Foundation Conversations event for a screening later in the day.

Rachel looked stunning in a flimsy black midi dress with button detail as she arrived at The Robin Williams Center for Entertainment and Media during a very rainy evening in the Big Apple.

Rachel added a pair strappy sandals with a chunky heel and accessorised with large hoop earrings and a chic ponytail.

Earlier in the day the style icon headed to CBS in a patterned black and white midi under a trench coat, teamed with bright red lippie.

The Favourite sets the stage in early 18th century when a frail Queen Anne (Olivia Colman)  is on the throne and her close friend Lady Sarah (Weisz) watches over the country.

New servant Abigail (Emma Stone) wins over Sarah when she arrives on the scene.

The movie had its world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival in August, where it won two awards: the Grand Jury Prize and the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for Colman’s performance as well as winning widespread critical acclaim

Away from her latest big screen outing, Rachel and James Bond star Daniel Craig, 50, welcomed their baby daughter in late August.

The baby is the first child for the Runaway Jury and Denial star and her hunky hubby who wed in 2011.

Rachel shares son Henry, 12, with former fiance, director Darren Aronofsky, while Daniel, 50, has a daughter Ella, 26, with ex-wife Fiona Loudon.
