OUTLANDER hunk Sam Heughan claims he’d love to play James Bond – if he was allowed to wear a KILT.
The proud Scotsman, 39, has previously discussed his love for 007 and told how he’d jump at the chance to wield the golden gun.
But now the actor has revealed the one condition he’d hope for if he were to join the blockbuster spy franchise.
Speaking on BBC Scotland’s The Nine, Heughan was asked: “Is [Bond] something you’d like to sink your teeth into?”
And he responded: “If Bond would wear a kilt, I think he probably would – he does have a lot of Scottish connections.
“I think every actor who has ever put a suit on has been talked about for Bond but of course, if it ever arose.
“I did actually audition a long time ago for Bond back when they were doing Bond 21 and it was a great experience.
“But who knows, I guess whoever gets that role will be very busy.”
Heughan – main star of fantasy drama Outlander – also told of his love for Netflix series Stranger Things and gave his opinions on HBO behemoth Game of Thrones.
Asked if he watches Thrones, he added: “Game of what?
“No, absolutely, I love Sci-Fi – I’m a big Stranger Things fan and Game of Thrones.
“A little known fact is the Game of Thrones pilot was shot in Scotland.
“It’s great to see how well that show has done and we hope to get half of their success.

“But I think our show has still got legs.”
Heughan is 20/1 with Ladbrokes to play the man with a Licence to Kill – following in the footsteps of fellow Scot Sean Connery.
The iconic character HAS put on a kilt in the past – George Lazenby rocked the Scots outfit in Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
