John Wreford Hotchkiss set up his own fly-fishing company in 2003

With his slightly battered, dark good looks, sonorous voice and impeccable timing, the actor John Wreford catered to the growing public demand for believable characters, in television series such as Crossroads (in the role of Jonathan Mortimer) and Z-Cars, in which he played PC Jackson for a year. As his star rose in the late 1960s, he appeared with Malcolm McDowell and Timothy Dalton in Sat’day While Sunday, the ABC series about three lads about town.
