Eva Green has given her opinion on a potential comeback on Bond 25.
Daniel Craig is due to bow out from the James Bond series with the upcoming 25th film in the franchise – due for release next year – but the Bond girl who started his journey with him in Casino Royale in 2007 has revealed her thoughts on a potential comeback.
Eva Green portrayed Bond’s first love Vesper Lynd in the film before the character tragically committed suicide and broke his heart after her role as a double agent was exposed.
“I really enjoyed the experience of Casino Royale, and it’s such a beautiful movie, and also the fact there was a strong love story in it, made it very unique and strong,” said Green. “I don’t know, it’s always a bit tricky, flashbacks. You don’t want it to be cheesy. God knows. It depends on the writing.”
We’ll take that as a maybe!
Eva also spoke about how audiences will look back on Craig’s run as the MI6 agent.
“Daniel is such a great Bond because he’s so raw and rugged, there’s something very manly, it’s not mannered. There’s something very virile, and I like that.”
The French actress can currently be seen in Disney’s Dumbo as trapeze artist Colette Marchant, where she once more works with iconic director Tim Burton.
One Bond girl who will be back for Bond 25 is fellow French actress Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, who reprises her SPECTRE role and the character may even appear as a child via flashbacks.
Bond 25 is released in UK cinemas on April 8, 2020.
