Amc Ends Badlands Sets 61st Street

AMC announced Saturday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that it is cancelling both its dramas “Into the Badlands” and “The Son”.

‘Badlands’ will end with the final eight episodes of the third season when it returns on March 24th. An imprisoned Bajie warns Sunny that Pilgrim can’t be trusted, but with his son’s life on the line Sunny struggles with his decision to help Pilgrim unlock the Meridian Chamber.

The second and final season of the Pierce Brosnan-led “The Son” will debut on April 27th. The new season sees Eli McCullough trying to stop at nothing to secure his legacy against the backdrop of the nascent oil industry of 1917.

The network has also opened a writers room for the drama series “61st Street” from showrunner Peter Moffat (“The Night Of”) and executive producer Michael B. Jordan. Set in present-day Chicago, the story follows a promising high school athlete swept up into the infamously corrupt Chicago criminal justice system as he’s targeted by police and prosecutors seeking revenge for the death of an officer during a drug bust gone wrong.

Finally, AMC has also released new photos from its “NOS4A2” series based on Joe Hills’ novel. Zachary Quinto stars as an immortal ghoul named Charlie Manx who feeds on the souls of children and traps their minds in a horrific dead zone called Christmasland where it’s always the holidays and no one can ever escape. Ashleigh Cummings and Ebon Moss-Bachrach co-star.
