Hulk doesn’t say much, but he will be crucial to the survival of the Avengers in Infinity War.
Fans are already speculating that the end credit scene from Thor Ragnarok was the start of someting terrible.
Loki and Thor were shown staring out at a huge ship, which many believe heralds the arrival of the Mad Titan. If, as expected, Thanos seizes the Space Stone from the Tesseract and blows up Thor’s ship, this would explain how Hulk falls from the sky and lands back on Earth.
What happens next rests on his giant green shoulders.
Hulk star Mark Rufalo spilled all to Cinemablend.
The star said: “Once again I think [Hulk is] trying to find his place in the line-up. He’s having some difficulties integrating with the rest of the group, but he’s also privy to some information that is essential for their survival. … Banner knows probably more about Thanos than probably anybody, and he’s really trying to impress on everybody how dangerous he is.
Ruffalo added: “He comes in screaming bloody murder… He’s seen what damage [Thanos] can cause, and how powerful he is, and the entire group is in disarray, so he’s also getting caught up on what’s happened here and is trying to get them to transcend their differences and impress upon them how much danger they’re actually facing.”
Looks like it’s time for a different version of “Hulk, smash” as Banner and his alter ego try to bash some sense into the divided Earth heroes before it’s too late.
Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 26 in the UK.
